Project Description

Entrepreneurship Development is a new vertical within SkillTree Consulting While the organisation had pioneered in skill development leading to employment for the youth across sectors and geographies, Skill development for Entrepreneurship is an area where we have limited footprint.

In Entrepreneurship Development, we wanted to achieve the following (a) Adopt a well curated Entreprepreneurship Development Program (EDP) module as partof our skill development programs (b) Develop micro entrepreneurship prototypes/models across various business sectors for aspirants to take up (c) Provide facilitation support in sourcing financial assistance through various govt schemes, NBFC and micro finance instituitions (d) assist entrepreneurs through their entrepreneurship lifecycle in making their enterprises profitable and sustainable (e) Sounce funding from various sources like Govt schemes, CSR, Multi lateral/Bilateral organisations to operationalise micro enterprise development programs.

One such project launched recently was Tele-Health Services Centres (THC) aiming to strengthen the healthcare services in remote areas in Maharashtra by being the medium to connect patients with doctors, path labs and Hospitals through a commercially viable business model. THCs will be run by local entrepreneurs, identified and trained by SkillTree Consulting, certified by Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC), and then assisted to set up their own Tele-Health Service Centre to provide following services:

  • To provide medical Online consultation from qualified specialist doctors accessible to the rural populace using technology in Maharashtra.
  • The centre will cater to patients from centre and at home, depending on the patient requirement and condition. The coordinator will do the patient registration and will connect the patient with a doctor without the requirement of travelling to the city through the software application provided by medically-registered company.
  • The centre would have basic medical amenities like Glucometer, BP apparatus, Computers/laptops with software etc
  • The entrprenuer will check and provide the doctor the basic vital health reports like blood pressure, sugar levels etc as required during the consultation
  • After Doctor’s diagnosis of the patient, the entreprenuer will, as per doctor’s recommendation/prescription, assist the patient for accessibility to nearby pharmacies, or primary/secondary/tertiary health centre, for further treatment, as may be required.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

  • Study various entrepreneurship options in sectors of focus, including investment required, Market need, Business viability, businessing planning and forecasting, BEP analysis etc
  • Develop and track project monitoring tools, systems and processes, evaluation methodology and ascertain corrective actions.
  • Conduct baseline study to determine project performance indicators using qualitative and quantitative research methodology.
  • Critically examine logic behind budget for Op-ex, headcount estimate, resource utilization analysis and question any buffers/ deviation
  • Project-based due diligence, compliances, P&L management, cost optimization, business modeling, tracking, parameters against project SOP’s.
  • Hand-holding the Entrpenuers to to ensure the candidate understands the implementation model and is able to run the the business independently in a sustainable manner.
  • Interacting extensively by both verbal and written means with client teams, preparing business intelligence reports and dashboard to provide analysis and commentary to region and leadership team.Supported the planning, analysis and strategy development functions and align businesses in the process
  • Formulate and implement results driven framework tools for planning, monitoring, evaluation and learning (PMEL) for all projects.
  • Develop and monitor project evaluation indicators for various activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving desired output.
  • Identify revenue and funding raising opportunities, due diligence, ascertaining scope & preparing risk mitigation plan for all Projects.
  • Prepare pricing and deal structuring, negotiating term sheet/ contract and finalizing other transaction documents.
  • Tracking financial and operational business performance metrics/KPI’s drivers against the Budget, ascertaining causes of variance and recommending course of action, process automation and innovation.
  • Cost Control; constant monitor and review of all costs/ revenue centers within the business and recommending cost benefit analysis

 

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Planning and creating a sustainable business plan and model exclusive to each centre depending on the location and expected footfall of patients.
  • Weekly tracking of critical project performance parameters using tools such as Project Master logframe, Financial MIS, Project Evaluation Template and other Ops Reports received from multiple teams.
  • Process Compliance - Compliance to Project mandated SOP Guidelines on MIS. Adherence to time lines and accuracy of data.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE

KNOWLEDGE

  • Creating sustainable microenterprise models, planning and Project execution.
  • Review and Monitoring Process incl. Programmatic Audit
  • Business accumen (P&L, budgets etc)
  • Basic understanding of implemenation of public projects

SKILLS

  • Fluency in English, Hindi and Marathi
  • Profecient in MS Office especially MS Excel
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders so that they are invested in role & purpose

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Education Qualification: Post Graduate in Business /Social Science/ Social Work/ Public Policy/ Development Studies

Experience: Min. 8-12 years of relevant experience in monitoring micro-entreprenuership development project preferably in Healthcare

Travel Requirement: Willing to Travel to remote areas

Gender: No preference
