• A Phlebotomist draws blood samples from patients for laboratory testing and analysis and also guides patients in collection of other type of samples like urine, stool, sputum, etc. This may be done at the laboratory, collection centre, or at the client site.
• The incumbent also ensures availability and suitability of supplies to be used in the process.
• The person is also responsible for other activities such as labelling, record keeping and other related documentation.
