Soil & Water-testing Lab Technician.

At the end of this Training Program, the learner will be able to:

  • To identify basic design and layout of the lab
  • To practice personal hygiene, sanitation and safety guidelines at the lab
  • To register samples of soil, manure/compost, plant and water
  • To prepare soil samples, handle and store water samples for analysis
  • To prepare manure/compost and plant samples for analysis
  • To identify lab-wares, equipment & chemicals/reagents and maintain their record
  • To calibrate measuring and monitoring equipment and prepare solutions for analysis
  • To demonstrate process of record keeping and upload Soil & Water Health Cards on the portal
  • To use GPS instruments and cadastral map to identify the sample site
  • Collect soil sample from the field and water samples from the irrigation source
  • To pack and label the soil and water samples
  • To use of Soil Testing Kit for soil nutrient analysis

Program Eligibility:

  • 12th Class (Science/Agriculture) OR
  • Diploma (Horticulture/Agriculture) from recognized institute OR
  • 10th class with 2 years of relevant experience

Minimum Job Entry: 18 years
