Assistant Chef

It takes cohesive teamwork to make a commercial kitchen in a hotel a success and the Assistant Chef ably supports the Commis Chef in the preparation of delicious cuisines to the guests. Ensuring the kitchen is orderly and the ingredients prepped perfectly are just a few of the ways an Assistant chef adds value to the hotel's restaurants.

At the end of this Training Program, the learner will be able to:

  • Assist the Commis Chef in managing the inventory and stock level
  • Assist the Commis Chef in preparation of various dishes
  • Apply cleanliness and maintenance practices in the kitchen
  • Employ appropriate practices to communicate effectively with guests, colleagues, and seniors to achieve a smooth workflow
  • Apply gender and age-sensitive service practices
  • Describe protocols related to confidentiality of the organizational information and guests' privacy
  • Apply health, hygiene, and safety practices at the workplace

Program Eligibility:

  • 12th Class/I.T.I. (2 years after class 10 )/ I.T.I (1 year) and 1 year of relevant experience

Minimum Job Entry: 18 years
