Food and Beverage Service – Associate

An experience at a restaurant is enhanced by the efficient behaviour of the Food & Service Associate, whose courteous and attentive handling of orders and ability to make the guest feel at ease makes the meal memorable and enjoyable.

At the end of this Training Program, the learner will be able to:

  • Explain the procedure to inspect as well as organize services and dining area
  • Describe the procedure to take the orders and serve food and beverages to guests
  • Present the bill to guests to collect payment
  • Carry out activities to prepare the table for the next guest
  • Communicate effectively with guests, colleagues and superiors to achieve a smooth workflow
  • Apply gender and age-sensitive service practices
  • Maintain confidentiality of the organizational information and guests' privacy
  • Apply health, hygiene, and safety practices at the workplace

Program Eligibility:

  • 10th Class/I.T.I (two years after class 8 ) with 1 Year experience in Food & Beverage Service OR
  • 10th Class/I.T.I (one year after class 8 and with one year of experience) with 1 Year of experience in Food & Beverage Service OR
  • Certificate-NSQF

Minimum Job Entry: 18 years
